Captain A Noel Wills

Noel Wills was a solicitor before working as secretary of the Doncaster Volunteer Training Corps. He was promoted to Captain in 1915. He was wounded at Ypres in March 1918 and died in a Canadian casualty station.

'Cheerful to the End' - Captain Alban Noel Wills

Alban Noel Wills was a well known Doncaster solicitor who died of wounds in Belgium in 1918. The Doncaster Chronicle reported his death including a heart rending letter sent to his parents from the Sister who tended him in the field hospital where he died.
