Evangeline Edith Mary Ross

Evangeline Edith Mary Ross was born in 1882 in Oxford and resided at the family home in Wadworth. During the First World War, Evangeline served at Loversall Hall with her sister Hilda from January 1915 to January 1916 working part time in the pantry and wards. Evangeline moved to serve as a nurse at the Military Hospital in Harwich between September 1917 and January 1918 and then Alexandria Military Hospital in Cosham between April 1918 and May 1919. After the war, she married Egbert Harmsby in 1927 in London and died a widow in 1954.
