Orfeur Cooke-Yarborough was born in 1878 in Doncaster. Orfeur resided at Campsmount with his family. His father George was a local magistrate and Orfeur worked as a Land Agent. During the First World War he served with the Royal Flying Corps. He was at the top end of the age restrictions for active service, and was 37 years old when he joined up in 1915. He married Anne Wyatt in Lincolnshire in August 1916 and survived the war. He died in Cheshire in 1965.

    I am working on a project researching WW1 RFC Aerodrome at Elmswell Suffolk. Orfeur frederick Cooke Yarborough was a 2/Lt serving with 75 (Home Defence) Squadron based at Elmswell. Does anyone have a photo of him?
