Thomas Cooke Clarkson

Thomas Cooke Clarkson was the son of Charles William and Margaret; he was born the 1st January 1889 on the Isle of Wight. Thomas had one brother called Samuel who was two years his junior. His father was a secretary to Hide and Son Brokers LTD.

 

At the age of 27 on the 14th October 1915, Thomas married Edith Norman of Millville, Arkansas, U.S.A. The ceremony took place in Dallas, Texas.

In between 1917 and 1918, Thomas had joined the Canadian Expeditionary Force.

 

On the 2nd July 1918, Thomas was killed in an aero accident in Montrose, at the time of his death, he was serving in the RAF. He was buried in Christ Church cemetery, Doncaster.
